About The Hillcrest Nutrition

We make plant-based men's wellness supplements for New Zealand men who want clear, honest nutritional support - without the marketing noise.

Our story

The Hillcrest Nutrition was established in Auckland with a simple observation: men over 50 in New Zealand were underserved by supplement brands that either oversold results they couldn't deliver or offered generic formulas not designed with men's specific nutritional needs in mind.

We set out to change that by building a single, focused formula - Hardero - that combined the botanical ingredients most consistently associated with men's pelvic wellness and everyday vitality, with the vitamins and minerals that have EFSA-backed structure/function evidence behind them.

How we approach formulation

Every ingredient in Hardero is assessed against two criteria: does it have traditional use in men's wellness nutrition, and does the nutrient it represents have an approved EFSA structure/function claim? If the answer to either question is no, it doesn't go in the formula.

We work with EU-certified contract manufacturers who operate under Good Manufacturing Practice standards. We don't make disease claims, we don't promise weight loss, and we don't use before-and-after imagery. We believe the supplement market is better when it's honest.

Our editorial commitment

All content on The Hillcrest Nutrition website is reviewed against EFSA nutrient claim guidelines and New Zealand Ministry of Health food supplement regulations before publication. We link to independent sources and we flag when something is traditionally used versus when it has formal regulatory backing.

If you have a health condition or are taking prescription medication, please talk to your doctor before adding any supplement - including Hardero - to your routine.
